During the Annual Election Period (AEP) from November 15 through December 31, all people who have Medicare Part D coverage should evaluate any changes in their current Part D Plan. Other Plans may be available that cost less and offer additional coverage. The Department of Aging's Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP) can provide individual, comprehensive and confidential assistance on all aspects of Medicare insurace coverage. HICAP programs throughout California can be reached by calling 1-800-434-0222. Please Note: Dual Beneficiaries (individuals who have both Medicare and Medi-Cal) may change their Medicare Part D coverage on a monthly basis.
